As of February 12 2024, the Freenom domain registrar issued a brief press statement related to the lawsuit against it by Meta.
It was stated that Freenom, aside from settling the $500 million lawsuit, independently decided to leave the domain business altogether.
This simple website came to life back in 2018, as an affordable solution for hosting various assignments and to experiment with web-related stuff.
While it had not seen many activity and updates for quite some time, I have decided to keep it active.
I was able to contact the Frenom registrar and prolong the ownership of this domain name, but — given the recent events and the published press statement — this website will not be updated anymore.
